HOW IT WORKS

 

Mitochondria are the cell’s power producers and convert energy into forms that are usable by the cell. They are the sites of cellular respiration which ultimately generates fuel for the cell’s activities.

When the mitochondria are exposed to the LED light, ATP production (pumps that process the fuel and waste) can increase 100% to 200%. LED photo-irradiation increases the production of cytochrome oxidase in cultured primary neurons and reverses the reduction of cytochrome oxidase activity produced by metabolic inhibitors.
